GOD’S COUNTRY
the North Shore
the Sixth Congressional District of Massachusetts
MA-6
the Ancestral Homeland of
Kayla and Jon
Over the past eight+ years, we have lived in Washington, D.C., New York City, Boston, and Kayla also spent a year on a different planet: Texas.
But nothing compares to the North Shore.
Nowhere has shaped our values, our passions, and our worldview more than here. It is where we were raised, where we met, and where we will get married. Whether you're coming from near or far, we hope you have some time to enjoy our home.
*H/T to BEK.
Honorable Mentions
If you are spending the weekend in God’s Country, you are one lucky son of a bitch. Here are the honorable mentions that we couldn’t squeeze into our day but we hope you get a chance to visit.
The Best Ice Cream of All Time Ever
Make sure to eat your ice cream by the donkey, it tastes better that way.
An iconic establishment.
Rules when visiting: you can only get clam chowder in April. You can NEVER get hot chocolate.
Fun fact: Jon keeps a record of how many Fenway Franks he eats per season.
Wingaersheek Beach &
the Annisquam River
Watch the tide though, you could lose your swim trunks.
One of the stops of Jon and Kayla’s 10-hour first date.
Get the mozzarella sticks to start.
and a few others…
Nick’s Famous Roast Beef
They prefer cash…
Katz’s Bagel
A Grandpa Bob favorite.
Though Grandma J said that the next day their bagel’s are “as hard as a rock.” Still the best bagels ever.
Sonsie’s
As Steve Rosenthal says: “it’s a great place to take a date!”
Dairy Freeze
Karl & Sherri Zerfoss went on dates there in college.
Kayla & Jon followed in this tradition while studying for the Bar.
